Not Our Bodies

Not Our Bodies is inspired by the acknowledgement that our biological human bodies do not belong to us, but are mere temporary extensions of the living land. Our personal experiences and our function as witness of the planet is therefore an ongoing cycle, not unlike all other living beings, we form, we experience, we return.

The walking human form can be edited endlessly with new background images, intended to be used for community engagement, as well as special projects and exhibitions that make reference to life cycles and place attachment - a term from environmental psychology that identifies one’s deep connection and identification to place.
