Saying YES to my ART

When you want something, all the Universe conspires in helping you get it.

~Paulo Coelho

2019 is my year of living authentically. I have finally taken the step to pursue my art career and have given notice at my day job for March 1st.

I really like my day job as a theatre coordinator, it has become part of my identity and daily routine over the past 12 years, but I have always had an alternate vision for my life, one that’s been with me since I was young.

This alternate vision is why I have been working two jobs (day job + art business & insane hours) over the past several years, building and building my art practice so that I could one day make this shift. In the theme of living authentically, this isn’t 100% full time artist; I am switching over to working super part time (1-2 days a week!) while I continue to build my art business. Who knows, if I find a part time position that I love maybe it will all work symbiotic and I’ll keep at it for a long time.

Although it comes after his passing, I attribute this change to my sweet canine-son Bruno, for always wanting me to be in the studio.

Thank you Bruno for encouraging me to run on my own path. If there is another realm I know you are running and happy and healthy and always beaming love in my direction. Love you and miss you buddy.
